Lancashire
-
Lancashire old maps (part of the GENMAPS collection at Rootsweb), maps of Lancashire and various townships - NOTE have not tried many so can't vouch for accuracy or usefulness - what I would point out is that some links take you from the web page you are looking at to a second web page, while others, confusingly, open a new window, often hidden by the window you are currently observing, and hence you have to minimise the initial window to view the second!
- Online versions of Old Maps of Lancashire produced by The Environment Directorate's Archaeology Service (including the Yates 1786 and Hennet 1826 maps of old Lancahire).
- John Speed maps - the site conatains a warning not to proceed unless you have at least a 56k modem as the images are image intensive!
