HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO ME (9-18-98)

Since all of you couldn't make it to my party, Momma thought it would be a good idea for us to share a little of my party with you here.

"HI GRAMMY AND GRAMPY!!  I WISH YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HERE!  THANKS FOR THE LITTLE MOCCASINS AND FOR THE POOH & PIGLET SET, THEY MADE ME SMILE REAL BIG!!"

I had alot of fun as you'll be able to tell by the pictures that follow. Please wait for them to load. Momma condensed them so they would load faster...I'm cute and it will be worth the wait! The party theme was "POOH & PALS".

On Friday, my actual birthday, Momma, Daddy, Brother and I celebrated. I got lots of new stuff, including a GIANT stuffed POOH and TIGGER! "I say GIANT because they're bigger than I am, but boy are they neat!!" I also got a plush POOH chair to sit in, it's really comfy. I even got a POOH GRAM!!! I got lots of other stuff, too, but I wouldn't want to make you wait any longer for the page to load. "Now, see there us 'Gentlemen of the South' really are gentlemen."

On Saturday, my Memaw, Pepaw and Nanny Gina come to help us celebrate. I got some diapers, a bib, a POOH outfit, a teddy bear outfit and twenty dollars, plus cards. "I REALLY LIKE THE MONEY!"

At my "party" on Sunday, my friend Austin, his mom, Erica, his Nana (my Godmother, Nana Janet), his Papa (my Godfather, Papa Andy), & his uncle (mine, too), Michael came over to celebrate with me because they love me and Austin is my best friend. They brought me some gifts and Nana Janet even made the POOH gift tags herself. I got an Elmo telephone. "I like Elmo!" I also got some Disney blocks and a Disney "peek-a-boo" board.

On Monday, my Daddy brought home another present and a card from my other Godfather, G-pa. The present was a special silver dollar, a collector's edition! I wanted to put it in my bear bank with the rest of my money, but Momma said that I had to put it up and save it. She said I could look at it whenever I wanted to, but under no circumstances could I ever spend it because it is very special.

I liked and appreciate everything that I got. Thanks to all of you!! OXOXOX,   Tristan

Momma went all out on the decorations! I had POOH everything including, the tablecloth, the plates, the cups, the napkins, the hats, the blow toys, the balloons, the streamers, the center piece for the table even the party favors were POOH themed. I had THREE cakes. I HATED that squishy cake and frosting!! I HATED it so much that I cried for Momma to get it off of me, but I only cried a little bit, it was sweet.

As you can tell I had a great time!!

A WORD FROM MOMMA

Tristan is a true blessing. I know the Lord has truly blessed us with him. Because having a baby did not come easy for me, I cherish every moment with him and every breath he takes. {*whispers* "Thanks Gaylene".} But, I sure wish he wasn't growing so fast. I know it's true (I had him & natural chidbirth at that), but I still can't beleive he's a year old already.

See the cyber gifts Tristan received for his birthday.
