According to Mr. Zuber’s history (see listing in `Articles of Interest’), he would have been born about 1757. This would put him about 42 years old in 1800. The other older male is probably one of his brothers. His father would have been too old to fit in this age group. I don’t know where Robert was!!

It’s possible that they stayed in NC (soon to marry) when their parents went on to Edgefield, SC. Hardy may have even been given his inheritance of some land to farm.
