William Thomas Leggitt Genealogy

This is my third greatgrandfather's family as far as we know. Grandpa William was a fiddler, he loved music and learned and practiced medicine from the Indians before they had doctors in their area. He met and married Molly Elizabeth Howell and several of their children were born there in Mississippi before they moved to Colorado and settled there in the Alamosa area. It was there that he lost his wife in childbirth. Later, perhaps related to the circumstances surrounding his wife's death, the children split up, many leaving and relocating in California. He was rejected by much of his family and never remarried.
