Celebrating TEN WHOLE YEARS together December 22, 2005! Troy and I met in Provo, Utah, while attending BYU. Troy was studying physics and I majored in art(as you can see, the love of art leaked over into many other areas since that time). Our family has been growing by leaps and bounds lately, I'll have to write up that story soon as well. We adopted three little boys into our family this summer and boy have we been blessed! All in all, we are healthy and happy and wish you all life's greatest blessings also! The Project I've been working on this web project for the last several years and have been very pleased with the result. I am gathering all the old family information from all of my relatives to make it available to the members of the family who may not have access to it otherwise. Once we know what everyone else has done, we can all have a copy and work together on the loose ends so we don't duplicate eachother's work. Quite a few of members of the extended family are working on gathering pictures and stories as well as doing research in the unknown parts of the line. I'm organizing what I can and trying to get a copy of everything. Others in the family are compiling books of their histories and have granted me permission to use their information here also. Pictures! When grandma with all the really old pictures dies, where do all the pictures go? Who knows the names of the people in them? If they're not thrown away, they get divided with the children. It doesn't take many generations to lose what we have. If you have access to any pictures related to these lines send us a copy! or we can scan it here also. I do great photo restoration and can do wonders with those old ones that are fading away.
We're scanning all the pictures in at print quality for family distribution on cds, and putting them together with their stories. We've also got a few sound clips and video segments. Hopefully when we are finished we will have a presentation that is entertaining as well as informative. Genealogy does have it's reputation for dryness, but in reality it's not! It's exciting and living, it's learning about ourselves and our roots.
