This is mommy's first picture of my cute little face without any tape or tubes. I tried to cry, too, but my throat was too raw and sore to make any noises. |

See how comfortable I am. Whenever mommy kangarooed me, my temp would raise and my heart rate would become much more stable. I'd have less apnea and bradychardia episodes, too. |

On my head is an IV, which looks worse than it really is. Just ask my mommy, cuz she freaked out the first time that she saw this kind of IV. Ugh! The tube under/in my nose is the CPAP, which helped me to breath but was not as invasive as the vent. The tube in my mouth was the OG (oral gastrointestinal) tube for feedings. Yum!! And that thing on my foot is a pulse oximeter, which told how well I was oxygenating my blood. |

I'm about 5 months old (actual) and 1 1/2 months (adjusted) and I am weighing around 5 1/2 lbs. I know that I'm still small, but I'm eating like crazy - trying to "catch up"!!!! Life at home is GRAND!!! NO MORE loud noises from the NICU. NO MORE pokes and sticks from the nurses. AND NO MORE ventilator!! YIPPEE!!!! |

This was mommy's and my first "outing" besides the many doctors appointments that she took me to. It was only mommy's haircut place, but it sure was exciting and everybody LOVED me!!! I had to agree with them that I was just TOO CUTE!!! |
