The Irish in Us

(1935)

A trite, yet entertaining film about three Irish-American brothers in 1930's New York. The trouble starts when the youngest brother (Cagney) falls in love with the oldest brother's (O'Brien's) girl. The energetic and sometimes ad-libbed acting helps to move the film along.

Stars: James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, Olivia de Hallivand, Frank McHugh, Allen Jenkins, Mary Gordon
Director: Lloyd Bacon
Setting: New York
Genre: Comedy
