When Robin Scorpio and Micheal "Stone" Cates fell in love, audiences everywhere knew that they would never be apart. They first fell in love in 1994.
Stone, who lived on the street for part of life, was taken in by mobster, Sonny Corinthos. Sonny made him take an HIV test, of which he came out negative, but he really wasn't. They must have forgotten to get another one six months later.
Meanwhile, Robin, who's parents died when she was 13, lives with her uncle Mac. She got accepted to Yale University in 1994, but didn't go until the 96/97 school year. She was thinking of going to Port-Charles University.
Before Stone found out that he was HIV postive, he and Robin slept together. The first couple times they were protected, but after awhile, they stoped caring about it so much.
When Stone finally did find out he was HIV positive, he already had advanced aids. He didn't tell Robin for some time, but he did. Robin took an HIV test, and came out negative. She would have to take the test again in six months, she knew that.
During all of this, from the very beginning, Robin's uncle Mac hated the two of them together. He used to not let Robin and Stone even go out on a date, but he finally got over that. But sometimes he still had a cold shoulder.
After awhile of knowing Stone had advanced aids, he started to work toward dying. He made a list of things he wanted to before he died, which included Bungee Jumping in the dark, and swimming with dolphins.
During his last couple weeks, Robin and Sonny hardly moved from his side, Mac came one night, and told them to sleep and he'd watch Stone. Robin and Sonny were greatful. Also during those last couple weeks, Robin took her next HIV test, she came out positive. They took the test twice.
She told Mac first, then Stone. He couldn't see, but he knew she was looking at him, and he couldn't take it, he turned his head. Robin told him that it wasn't his fault, it was thiers together, we should have been more careful.
Sonny did miss Stone's death. He was sleeping when it happened.
Stone asked Robin to move to the window, step into the light. She did as he asked. "I can see you" Stone said, Robin knew that he did. Something happened to change her life, Stone then died right there, in his bed.
Sonny came upstairs to Stone's room. He thought Stone was just sleeping, but he knew that Stone wasn't. Felicia stopped by then to, she and Robin hugged, she knew that Stone still loved her. Brenda also came then. She looked at Robin and Felicia hugging and knew that he had died.
Stone and Robin were the perfect couple in Port-Charles, and even now that he's dead, they still are...
