During the '80s I formed a band, The Riff Griffins (yeah, alright, it was the '80s :-)), with a number of other singer/songwriters, most of whom have gone on to other successful projects. We recorded a bunch of fairly decent songs, in a variety of styles. I also performed briefly (playing saxophones and keyboards) with a covers band called Front Cover, but found that approach to music soul-destroying, to say the least.
My own songwriting continues (often from setting my own poems to music), with stacks more material accumulating all the time. Lately, I've concentrated mostly on writing just with piano, though I write on those fretted, stringed things as well occasionally :-). The saxes and I are pretty rusty these days, but they have their uses still. Some day soon, I hope to get the current project I’m working on properly recorded!
The great Ross W McKay, (former Riff Griffin) has a brilliant album, Zymurgy, 11 tracks of personal, rootsy sounding music, well-produced, from a wonderful singer/songwriter. If you're interested in a copy please check out Ross's website or email me and I'll put you in touch!
My current, incredibly gifted, songwriting partner, Darren, had a solo 5-track CD a few years back, called "What Is Real?" If you're interested in a copy (about $10 Australian + postage), email me and I'll pass it on.
When I'm drawing, I listen to music almost constantly, so this list is anything but exhaustive and doesn't get updated much.

I have a major interest in music collecting and reviewing (particularly
symphonic and progressive rock, but also Celtic, New Age, folk, rock, musicals
and I hate labels anyway :-)).

I must admit to still being a great fan of my old Ensoniq Mirage, the very first cheap sampler, bought when it first came out. It puts in quite a few appearances in Riffin' to Oblivion
