Children learn foreign languages more easily and in a more natural manner than adults. It can never compare to laborious language study in school.
This ability helps children understand basic linguistic concepts. They understand that any object can have more than one name, and can be discussed in more than one way. They understand that any word can have various meanings when used in different languages. They can be more creative with their own language, and with the combination of languages that they understand.
