FiberFab ET Mustangs

During 1967-68 FiberFab made approx. 50 ET front ends for 65-66 Mustangs. 13 front ends exist (known) today. The FiberFab company in the late sixties was located in California and had an outlet in Germany. Road & Track compared the owner/founder to Carroll Shelby of the time. Ads for this particular front end were run in numerous magazines during 1967 and 68. The front end was available in two styles: Standard (traditional hood and fender operation) or the Competition model (tilt one piece front end). They were available (and shipped throughout the country)  in kit form or they contracted with a local shop that would install the kits.

The picture at the top left and above is of my 1966 ET front end equipped fastback. The front end was installed on this same car (and painted this color) in 1967. I purchased the car in the early 80's for something different. We've modified the rest of the car to "match" the style and degree of the front end.  We've attempt to keep most modification to items that were available during the late 60's. This car was featured in the June issue ('85) of Mustangs and Fords magazine. Other modifications include:

Engine: 289/302 cu, Hilborn fuel injection, gear drive cam, roller rockers, Cal Custom finned valve covers, Tri-wye headers

Trans: Ford toploader

Rearend: 57 9" Ford rearend with 2 speed-overdrive attachment (Hone-O-Drive) which produces 3:00-1 and 4:11-1 final drives

Exterior:
Rear end is a 67 GTO narrowed 6", spoilered rear trunk, Mair rear flares, real mag wheels, blacked out hood (GT40 style), Terlingua top stripe, 66 GT350 quarter windows

Interior: 69 Cougar gauges (with tach) mounted in an aluminum dash panel, split rear folddown seat (each side folds down independent from the other), 65 Fairlane front seats, cloth headliner, special molded carpet and dash pad.
