Charlie Jarzombek in Jimmy Hendrickson's x-3 at Wall Stadium

Charlie once said to Jimmy "What could you do with my car and what could I do with yours?"Here he is finding out .This Pinto was one of the last of car owner T ony Ferrante 's legendary x-3 s that ran from 1960 -84. They were coupes, Falcons, Mustangs, Camaros ,Vegas, and Pinto'sAll were Blue & White showpieces of fine Ferrante craftmanship. piloted to many championships by "Gentleman Jim"

Master storyman Austin Church , has quite a tale to tell. It's all about everyday folks who went a little WILD on the weekends. Most of the time they worked regular jobs, but when they raced they were second to no one! Whom and where they raced might surprise you. Long Ride takes you on a journey that starts right after WWII,and just keeps on going . You'll meet legends like Axel Anderson who raced for 5 decades. Richie Evans who holds more NASCAR driving titles than anyone including " The King". " Gentleman Jim" Hendrickson one of the smoothest pure race drivers ever. Johnny Coy the original" Mr. Excitement." Chargin' Charlie Jarzombek who left us way too soon. You will visit the tracks they still talk about.... Islip, Bridgehampton, Langhorne, The Beach Course and more. There's heros, characters and a goat or two. Best of all...it's all true...I know 'cause I was there.
