Nr 229, the "newest of the current fleet on Park & Ride services in Oxford, making a comparison with the announcement of a new order starting in 1999, when 20 Dennis/Alexander double deckers will be delivered to replace the existing fleet.

Another "new order" sees the arrival of 10 Dennis Dart SLF's for route 13 in the City of Oxford. Carrying Wright Crusader bodywork, these low floor single decks will enable easier use by everyone of buses on that route. They feature "green" engine emissions.

Stagecoach 837 was one of the 13 Volvo B6's transferred from Manchester in exchange for the first batch of Volvo Olympian single door deckers, now at work in Manchester from Hyde Road depot.

Stagecoach Oxford "802" before withdrawal. Four of these buses including 802 are presently stored at Horspath depot awaiting a decision as to their fate.

Wycombe Bus 242 resting during Sunday 11th January. This vehicle caried this overall advertising livery for "Top Drawer Office Supplies", until last month, May, when it was overhauled at Oxford and is now in fleet livery at Wycombe.

One of the stored Leyland Titans has returned to service for the summer rush. 950 was in Park & Ride livery and it was logical to put it back to work on these services. It re- entered service in late May.

An early Atlantean from the north east part of the Stagecoach empire has journied south to operate the summer service to Blenheim Palace from Oxford. It has been given the fleet number 500 in the SC Oxford fleet. It was formerly with Newcastle Transport.

The small Mercedes still with Stagecoach Oxford may only have a limited time left, since an order for the latest variant, the Vario, has been placed for late '98 delivery.

It is still possible to see the coaches once used on the Citylink London services working out of Oxford for other operators. Here we see ex CLNK 114 now with Worths of Enstone on its stand near the Randolph Hotel.
