Trying to find someone?

Here are two places where you can type in the persons name and get their e-mail, home address, phone, homepage or more if they add it (like cell phone and company name, hobbies, school, and additional e-mail addresses).

WhoWhere
and
Switchboard

If you are looking for someone, consider that they may be looking for you. You might want to register your name and/or e-mail address. Switchboard and WhoWhere? both have really cool privacy features that allow a person to conact you without giving out your email address. For example, your high school sweetheart will type in: Esmerelda Candy. Instead of getting your e-mail address, your old flame will get a "Knock-Knock" form to fill out. Your first love fills out his message and the Switchboard.com people forward it to you. Only if you respond will your e-mail address be known.

If the person you are looking for is a government employee, you might find him here:

Classmates.com has High School Alumni registrants from more than 30,000 high schools in the U.S., Canada and Territories.

If you are willing to pay for this service, you can find the person plus learn way too much else about him here:
1 800 US Search

If you are looking up family members, you can search through 325 million names at:

If you fear they may have passed away, you can search through the Social Security Death Index here:

My favorite place is "The Ultimates." Now this place will freak you out. They have a reverse search where you can type in the persons phone number to get their name and address, or type in their name to get their phone number. Then you can click on the name of their street to find the names addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of all of their neighbors! Whoa! Hey, don't stop there. They have a place that will draw a map of their neighborhood and give you step by step driving directions from anywhere to there! Answering the door has taken on a whole new meaning for me.

Your long lost friend might be in the faculty and student e-mail directory on a College or University Web Site. Here is a place that lists the web sites of every college and university (American, Canadian, International, and Community College links):

Another e-mail directory he may be listed at is his place of employment. Here is a web site that will give you the domain name of any company:

If you were separated by adoption, you can register or search the database here:
