I lie awake in bed at night,
I'll stare at you in silence.
Loving you more each day,
Our love takes my breath away.
In the silence of the night,
Through the darkness with no light,
Keeping other thoughts out of the way,
I'll stare and watch you ‘til break of day.
I think of nothing but you,
I want to hug and kiss you,
And hold your hand and love you,
But I will not awake you.
I see the moon go down,
And the morning sun come up.
Staying with you through the night.
You have never left my sight.
The only sad part,
That I feel in my heart,
It will be just one less day,
To love you that's gone away.
