Sallie also grew up in Waseca County, Minnesota. She was raised in the same house where she lives now. Not one to fly far from the nest, Sallie always knew she wanted to be a dairy farmer.
Norman and Sallie met each other January 2, and were married by August 1, 1981. On June 30, 1982 they had their first son, and were settled into the farming way of life.
