Jewish Special Needs relates to disabilities that affect the Jewish population:

  • Ways to encourage school boards to provide facilities for the physically handicapped
  • Ways to encourage school boards to provide sign-language interpreters for the deaf
  • Ways to encourage school boards to provide educational and physical aids for blind and motor handicapped students
  • Ways to promote special classes for mentally disabled pupils
  • Methods of providing job training
  • Methods of providing sheltered workshops and workplaces
  • Methods of training in sheltered workplaces
  • Methods of helping the disabled work independently
  • Discussions among the staff that cares for the Jewish disabled
  • The special needs and requirements for those who work, live, educate, or otherwise associate with the Jewish disabled
  • What issues or subjects should be studied in a good special education program?
    • Do you have recommendations of course content in any of those courses?
    • What Jewish content should be studied in that program?
    • How should students be selected for the program?
    • What age should the students be?
    • What preliminary apprenticeship should these students have?
    • How important are English studies in the program?
    • How important are computer studies in the program?
    • How important is a background in psychology?
    • Is there a need for a course in the history or development of treating special education?
