Once again welcome to our homepage. As with any homepage we will always be adding to it. You are just going to have to come back from time to time to see what has been added.
The first thing I would like to do is introduce us. Yes that is us on the top of the page. (Like you wouldn't have guessed that). My name is Kristen and this wonderful man is Michael.
I first logged onto the internet in October of 1996. It didn't take me long to stumble into a chat room. I became a regular chat addict on WBS. One evening in November my friend came over to my place to see what all the hype of chat rooms was all about. She is in her 30's and wanted me to leave my regular 20 Something chat room to go into the 30 something room. I wasn't thrilled about leaving my chat buddies to check out this new room, but did it anyway. I was chatting under the handle Kris26 (now known as L@dy Legacy) and had her in my tagline so that people knew that there was someone else with me. I was busy chatting to bunches of people but no one seemed to even acknowledge that she was even there with me. We started talking to a guy known as Joe314 (now known as MyLegacy). I was posting him when she said that I had enough people to chat with that she wanted me to say that it was her that he was talking to. What did I have to lose, so I did just that.
Well, this continued for a couple of days and I gave him her phone number. I continued to chat with him as her and sent him email as her. This went on for not quite a week when Joe314 knew something was up. After avoiding him for a couple of days, I ended up telling him that it was me that he had been talking to all the time on-line. We talked on the phone that night. When I got off the phone with him I wrote him an email telling him that I would understand if he didn't want to talk to me anymore. And it is true that I would have understood, but I would not have been happy. Even though the emails were signed with her name and his were addressed to her, they were really from me and to me.
I did get an email back from him and what it said was that he did want to continue to talk to me and from now on I was to be signing my name to the emails. This was the start of him showing me just how understanding and forgiving he can be.
We spent many hours from that point on both in chat, on the phone, sending emails and in pow wow. Hmm..as a matter of fact we are still doing that now almost 2 years later. As you continue on through this website you will learn where we went from here and where we are now. There was 633 miles between us, but we were always with each other in our hearts.
