A. Welcome to Anya's Journey, the interactive Website where you, the surfer, takes a trip from St. Petersburg, Russia, to Paris, France, through the eyes of the heroine of 20th Century Fox's Anastasia. |
| Q. Cool. So who owns it?
A. Anya's Journey is owned by Jen (AnyaCI@aol.com) and Kelly (AnyaMuse@aol.com). |
| Q. When did this site open?
A. We've been working on it since December of 1998, but it officially opened April 1, 1999. |
| Q. Where did you get the idea of
having a virtual "journey" through Anya's eyes?
A. Funny story. Jen was making a website called Anya's Journey but was having trouble coming up with a really decisive theme for it. So she asked Kelly about it, and she suggested making it exactly what the name called it -- a journey! Soon the partnership was born, and suddenly Anya's Journey was in the makings! |
| Q. Now
that I know a little about how it got started, mind if I ask just who does
what on the page?
A. Not at all! Kelly does a lot of HTML (although Jen, the HTML Genius, does the really hard stuff), and Jen does most of the graphics (once again, however, Kelly does some). Kelly and Jen both do the writing (Kelly a little more than Jen), except for the parts that were copied out of a book (i.e. the story pages, etc.). They're both the "idea" girls, and share their brainstorms back and forth frequently, usually late at night on Fridays and Saturdays. |
| Q. Do you guys have any other webpages?
A. Not yet, but once we're fairly satisfied with Anya's Journey (which will probably be never), we have ideas for others. But we're staunch Anastasia fans, and since this is our first love we're always going to put the most attention into it. |
| Q. Did you have anymore pages before
this?
A. For a brief time Kelly had "Welcome to St. Petersburg" which was just a page to advertise the mailing list, and Jen has had many Anastasia pages, including "Jennifer's Anastasia Page" and "Anastasia, Always and Forever". |
| Q. How do you get so much time
to do all this?
A. We're both homeschooled Sophmores. Kelly has morning classes from 7 - 11:30, and Jen has afternoon from 3 - 5, so they have a long period in the middle of the day and after 5 to work. |

A. Absolutely not, unless we give you special (and rare) permission! |

make that font/that background/etc.
A. Nope. They're not hard techniques, but wouldn't it be a little boring to see every Anastasia site have the same font/background/etc.? |

page on mine?
A. Only with SPECIFIED permission. And we do mean SPECIFIED. |

stuff?
A. Because *we* did it. How would you feel if someone took your trophy or drawing and claimed they did it themselves? Not too good, huh? |

A. Afraid not, mon cher. But you *can* subscribe to our updates mailing list! |

Mailing list? What does it do?
A. Exactly what it says -- tells you every update that has happened on Anya's Journey RIGHT after it's put up! Usually within 5 minutes! |

to put something on your page, what do I do?
A. Just vote at our Page Voting Booth! |
| Q. What if I really, really, really
need it NOW?
A. Then mail Kelly or Jen, but there's no guarantee we'll be able to get it up NOW. :) |

site rules for Anya's Journey?
A. No copying, cheating, stealing, etc. We also don't like people to argue on forum boards. Friendly debates is fine, but no profanity, fighting, etc. |

A. Just use our banner. If you need help with the code we'd be glad to give it. |
