Thank-you

Dear Veteran,

BECAUSE of your service for our freedom....you are ~ a HERO.

Veteran,
Words cannot express ~ our profound appreciation.

Thank-you straight from the heart!
It's not "enough" but... thanks for your service for my freedom.
Because I can not personally *hug* each of one of you ~
This song is dedicated to YOU!

The song is also dedicated to the veterans who did not come home.
God hold them close and bless their families.

God Bless the USA
by
Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I'd thank my lucky stars to be livin' here today,
'cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

And I'm PROUD to be an American where as least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA
Well, there's pride in every American heart,
and it's time to stand and say that

I'm PROUD to be an American where as least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God bless the USA.

God bless America, God Bless You!

As a gift from me to you ~
Please feel free to take the graphic below....thank-you!

Fall of 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998

Over the past 7 years, our K-8 students have donated
over $12,500.00 in "change"
to the local veteran groups here in Lincoln, Illinois
to help brighten the days of veterans
in the Danville and Quincy Illinois V.A. Hospitals.

Just a small token - gift from us
to veterans who have given so much for our freedom.

Hundreds of veterans have given unselfishly of their time
to come into our classrooms to teach the children.
No words can express how much we love these veterans.

We are FAR "richer" for having the HONOR of
getting to know and learn from these wonderful veterans!

By the way, the name of this school is
West Lincoln-Broadwell
located in center of the state
Lincoln, Illinois.

Thank-you so much.

Seven years ago,
many of our students did not know why
we had Memorial Day off school.
Thus was born...

You will NEVER be forgotten! We will "teach the children".

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile,
leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same.

Feel free to me!
