One of the most unusual match boxes, and never seen anywhere after Japan.  The striker is inside the box, which is glued shut, and you pull hard on the match, which lights as it's coming out.  However .. sometimes the match would light too fast and catch all the others inside on fire, burning your fingers.  No big mystery why this matchbox style never caught on.

Thanks for the translations from Brian Killen, NHS '61, who is taking Japanese lessons again.
