META TAGS |
To be found by search engines, META
TAGS are a necessity. Using my site for an example, here
are the simplest codes for them. Once again, for the
purpose of demonstration I am using ( ) instead of <>. |
(meta name="keywords"
content="cats, gardens, graphic links,sound links,
pow-mia, cat care,") |
(meta name="description"
content="Cats, information on their care and our
responsibilities, great graphics from CatStuff.") |
Place this directly above the
closing head tag in the top of your HTML file. That tag
looks like this: (/head) with <>. |
Now search engines and spiders can
track you down. To get listed in the GeoCities Search
engine go to this URL-everything is explained for you
there. http://www.oocities.org/main/info/system/categorize.html
