Some time ago, Jason and I fell in love with the Havanese Breed.

This breed is fantastic.  I strongly urge you to visit the Havanese Resource Page at
http://thehavaneseresourcepage.homestead.com

The Havanese Community is a tight-knit group coming together to better this breed.  Because they have shown us, mentored us and led us through our questions, doubts and fears.. We have decided to officially become Havanese Parents.  To prove our dedication we have joined HeartBreeders.  To learn more of this you can visit this link -
http://www.heartbreeders.org.   HeartBreeders is dedicated to studying Cataracts in the Havanese Community.  PLEASE GO TO THE ABOVE LINK AND LEARN WHAT YOU CAN DO TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, please meet Noel Cain.  Mama's boy doesn't quite describe my little shadow. He's my best friend, my confidant, my lap warmer, my giggle-maker, my little rough-neck and my little Angel.
Had I known when he first entered our lives that he would consume my heart in such a manner, I would have prayed for God to give me a bigger heart.
Havanese are a special breed. They're full of mischief. Full of energy. Full of love. You can bet your last dollar that if mischief had taken place while your head was turned, that little furrling looking at you with those almond shaped eyes, was behind it.

Jason and I elected to keep Noel in a short puppy coat, due to our hot Arizona summers. As a result, when you look at Noel's pictures, you are seeing the "normal" havanese long, flowing coat that changes colors as often as the weather changes.

Noel, my little man, was recently diagnosed with Chondrodysplasia. I urge you to visit this website for more information on this disorder. It is not a death sentence. It is not something that will change the life of your pet forever, but it is a condition that must be monitored.

I cannot brag enough or share enough of Noel's stories with you. Everyday is a whole new adventure for him. Adventures that he shares at the ready.  What I can share is that my day is complete when I walk in and I'm greeted by this boy. He talks to me, he jumps in my arms and we discuss anything we want to.  Yes, naming this child Silverdale's Raizin' Cain was fitting. There's nobody quite like him.. and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I want to thank all of my mentors in the Havanese community. Doc, Diane, Margie, Cherie, Bobbi, Mary Anne, Lu, Sandy T, Carole and Janet. And the many, many others who have shared with me, taught me, answered my questions and trusted me with this breed. Ladies that keep me going when the going gets rough. Mentors are not only friends, they're the light at the end of the tunnel most times, they're there day and night 24x7.
