Miss Minnie was the very first to receive this award!

02/16/00 was a very sad day.
It was discovered that Miss Minnie had diabetes.
She got her first insulin shot on 02/24/00.

Miss Minnie was not doing very well since her last vaccination. She lost a lot of weight and was very frail. She became very picky about the food I fed her. Then I had to have a foot operation on 08/18/05. Miss Minnie seemed to sense something right away and retreated to the bathtub. She would not eat and went right downhill. My husband had to bring her to the vet on 08/22/05 to be put down. This has been a terrible summer - losing both Mickey and then Minnie.

Minnie's favorite thing was to crawl under a quilt or comforter. She would peek out with only her little pink nose showing, and then.... Mickey or Mushy would usually take the opportunity to pounce on her head. Here Minnie is being held tightly for a quick visit in the sunshine!

Poor Miss Minnie was SO afraid of thunderstorms, ....she hid under the bed!
