My humans got me at a pet store, and I was separated from my kitty mom way too soon. You are not supposed to separate kittens until they are at least six weeks, and eight is the standard. I have always been a very nervous and high strung kitty, so maybe that is the reason why. The pet store my human mom got the two of us from was not a very good one. They had been feeding me and my sister the wrong kind of cat food, and we were very ill. Our humans almost lost both of us just days after they adopted us! Fortunately, our humans drove us to a vet in another town (it was the weekend, and there was no vet open in our town), and she saved us! Another reason why I might be high strung is that I hurt my leg really bad when I was a kitten. No one knows exactly what happened, because no one was there when it happened, but I shattered the bone in my leg when I was just eight weeks old. There was a possibility that I would have to have the leg amputated, but the vet was able to save my leg! She took out some of the bone, and shaved other parts. Today I don't even limp! My sister Alex passed away over a year ago. When we were kittens we had lots of fun together, but we grew apart as adult cats. I got so more and more things scared me, including Alex! For some reason when she died, I calmed down a little bit. I am not nearly such a scaredy cat anymore, although I do startle very easily. I am mostly a very happy kitty these days, although I do get a little jumpy now and then. Sometimes I drive my humans crazy because I will yell at the top of my lungs for them to come pet me! Hey, how else am I supposed to let them know what I want? It works doesn't it? They give me lots of love, and everyone comments on how sweet I am, including the vet. I never fight with anyone, and I always try to make my humans happy! As long as none of the other cats pick on me, I am a very serene cat! Stormy is so gentle, I honestly don't think that she even knows she has claws! "Ooh, these little cardboard things are good eating!" Stormy giving our annual Christmas Village the evil eye. "This would be perfect if only these stupid houses weren't here!" My sweet girl. She's had a tough time since Sienna has moved in. Sienna is always chasing her, because she knows Stormy will run. We're still trying to get the household adjusted.
