BRYAN's LOSS IS HEAVEN'S GAIN...Bryan is no longer in pain or suffering...he was laid to rest today (January 27, 1998) in his home state of Texas...This page was created as a celebration of love...May God's spirit and the love of all of the "Little Angels in the Sky" fill your hearts with peace...

Midi playing is "BRIAN's SONG"...written by Michael LeGrande...which was the theme song for the Screen Gems/Columbia Pictures movie distributed by ABC TV of "Brian's Song"...starring James Caan and Billy Dee Williams, and was the story of Brian Piccolo, running back for the Chicago Bears, who lost his battle with cancer in 1970...Brian Piccolo

Texas--land that I love-- is a great state with a very rich and proud heritage and wonderful people--friends and neighbors...

Let me tell you about a special little Texas friend, BRYAN. Only 9-years old, BRYAN and his Mom, Pam (MAEREN@aol.com), are from a town "deep in the heart" of Texas, and became friends to me and hundreds of others on my WAV list. He and his Mom were part of my WAV list for about a year...BRYAN underwent critical bone marrow transplant surgery in July 1997, and with the help of wonderful doctors, and thru the prayers of many caring people, he returned home and did well for a few months Around Christmas time, Bryan's condition became critical again, and it was at this time that I began this web site for this beautiful little boy, asking for prayer for this family...so this site reflects some of the original site, as well as the memorial that was created after the loss of this courageous little boy...please take time to view this site in its entirety...it is a celebration of love...

....BRYAN is a very sick little boy again and this time the doctors say they have done everything they can...but, you know, there is another greater PHYSICIAN whose healing talents are "miraculous"...I am asking everyone visiting this page to join hands and hearts with me and let's form a prayer chain to extend around the globe--let's lift BRYAN and his Mother up in prayer...praying for a miracle, asking God to give them both strength, courage, peace, and joy...

"Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father, which is in heaven..........For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
(Matthew 18:19-20)

THE "HIGH FLIGHT" AWARD BELONGS TO BRYAN...

BRYAN (BRYMAN) - Recipient of the Highest "WINGS" Award of All
~~ January 24, 1998~~

This picture was made of BRYAN in August 1996 at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, where he was the "LITTLE PILOT OF THE DAY", part of the "WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR" program...where children with terminal illnesses are granted their utmost wish whenever possible...BRYAN wanted to FLY!!! But because of liability, he was not able to actually go up, but he was so excited over getting to sit in the plane and meet the pilot, and got lots of attention--they even had a banner draped on the plane with LITTLE PILOT OF THE DAY....BRYAN.......and now he has his own wings...he can fly!

HIGH FLIGHT

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I have climbed and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and
Soared and swung.

High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along,
And flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.

And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
the high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

---Written by young Canadian pilot, John Gillespie McGee--
(This poem is filled with his own love of flight--he died in an accident while flying his SPITFIRE on December 11, 1941, at Tangmere, England...)

~~A VET's PRAYER FOR BRYAN~~

Bryan, you don't know me, but I've come to know you well.
I know of you thru a friend of mine
And have something to you I must tell!

I heard of your Passion, and Love just like my own!
I wish that I could fly high enough
to come get you and bring you home.

My wings are sticks and linen, my engine tired and old.
I have not yet been blessed like you,
With Angels' Wings of Gold.

I have some friends who went your way, many years ago.
They too died young,
And never did grow old.

They too loved to fly, and loved their country too.
I asked them all in a prayer
To try to contact you.

I told them of your courage, and how you wanted to fly.
How you died just too young
before you ever got to try.

So when Joe, Steve or Eddie, reaches for your hand,
Tell them you were expecting them, and referred by a friend of theirs
who served with them in Nam.

I asked them to show you the ropes, and let you fly the right hand seat!
I'm sure you'll find them just as did I,
the best friends you'll ever meet.

Tell them that I miss them, and think of them every day.
To keep a seat warm for me,
eventually I will be on MY way.

Every pilot knows the sky's forever, and we are but visitors here on earth,
That beauty is in the heavens
and we should love it for all we're worth.

So patiently wait for me, I'll be along 'bye and 'bye.
Maybe then I can shake your hand,
and off together we can fly!

SPECIAL NOTE: This wonderful heart-rendering poem was written by a special friend, Dave (HIPULL@aol.com), who was in my WAV group for a short period of time. Dave, a gifted writer, has not been able to write for several years due to problems relating to his disability...after visiting Bryan's special page, he was very moved...he stated that he felt emotion that he had not felt in a long time...and the result was a MIRACLE...he said he wanted to share his feelings and words began to flow...the result was this poem--a really beautiful poetic masterpiece which will touch the hearts of everyone who reads it--thank you God for your love...and thank you Bryan for the sweet song that you have left behind for us all..

Don't think of him as gone away~
His journey has just begun,
Life holds so many facets~
This earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting~
From the sorrows and the tears,
In a place of warmth and comfort~
Where there are no days and years.

Think of how he must be wishing~
That we could know today,
How nothing but our sadness~
Can really go away.

And think of him as living~
In the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost~
And he was loved so much.

To Bryan's Mother...THANK YOU for sharing Bryan with all of us during this past year...although we never got to meet him personally, his presence in our WAV group filled us with a special feeling of love...we will treasure his memory and his special little courageous spirit will continue with us...a summer breeze, the sweet fragrance of a rose in full bloom as the early morning dew falls upon it, birds singing...all of this is part of BRYAN's SONG...and I just want you to know that we are all here for you--but more importantly, GOD is only a prayer away...

And to Bryan's friends and everyone visiting this page, I just want to say this little guy touched a lot of lives and will continue to do so for a long time...at night, when you look up at the heavens on a clear starry night--look to the WEST--and the brightest star you will see (probably the one centered right over the HEART OF TEXAS) will be the "twinkle" of Bryan's big blue angelic eyes as he looks down and smiles at all of us...may we never forget BRYAN'S SONG and the little footprints he left behind for us all to follow...
