Angels & Wisdom
Today's world constantly leads us to situations where we need to be spiritually wise. We need to discern the differences between truth and illusion. Also, we want to know what to do to change circumstances for ourselves, our children, or others in society. A question appears to us whether we are offering the best type of help and if it is actually effective. Perhaps we wonder if our help might actually interfere with the destiny of another in a negative way or perhaps free them from unnecessary strife. Certainly our society offers a giant buffet of potential causes or problems to solve. Despite our willingness to help, we sometimes feel so overwhelmed with the problem that we don't know what to do.
To make healthy decisions can be very difficult even though we studied spiritual matters for years or focused on our own personal moral training. If we are to become the true givers of Christianity or the wise person of Buddhism or the discerning individual of other religions or no specific religion, we need to understand how to arrive at decisions that are in harmony with the spiritual world.
Each day we face an extraordinary number of decisions and opportunities that affect our destiny. Our intentions may be to make decisions that are beneficial for the elf while also harmonious to other human beings. yet it is difficult to make these kinds of decisions or we would not have the problems we now experience around the world that reflects a decision-making process lacking spiritual wisdom.
Let's consider an example: Perhaps you are walking by a river and see someone drowning. You have a choice. You can jump in and take the chance that you too might be swept up on the strong current and join destiny with the person you sought to help. In some circumstances, however, this chance is the only option. Perhaps you might call for help and have others catch the individual further down stream. Which is the best choice? Obviously this depends on the circumstances, the abilities of the helper, the condition of the river current, and timing.
If we are to learn to work with angels, we need to see events and people from a wider and higher perspective. What may appear to be unnecessary suffering for an individual may be exactly the experience the soul has sought to have for the purpose of spiritual growth. Help at the wrong time or in the wrong way can interfere with the work of the angels.
Likewise there are situations where the angels seek our help to minimize sufferings. Some of these situations do not gain easy recognition, such as starvation or major illnesses. These less obvious situations might involve the real need of such human assistance as visiting a neighbor at the right time, or perhaps praying for the lives of strangers who you meet when traveling. Oftentimes the angels have greater difficulty locating helpers for the hidden sufferings rather than the situations that are immediately recognizable.
What we need is to learn to discern without judgment the best action to take or the best solution to a problem that is in harmony with heaven. To achieve this we do well to apply the wisdom of the universe which is available to us through the angels and other avenues as determined by the will of God. However, this is obviously not as simple as it sounds, or our lives would all be in total harmony one hundred percent of the time. Even the saints had trials that necessitated new ways of applying wisdom appropriate for the situation. The question confronting us is how we can learn to receive true wisdom from the heavens and translate it into the human living condition.
Perhaps an important step in this solution is to widen our view of angels beyond their work as protectors, healers, and messengers and see them as dispensers of pure spiritual wisdom. At those times when we experience a "Ping" in our minds as the solution to a problem comes to us, whether mathematics, science, or human life situations, we are usually oblivious to the fact that the guardian angel has fed us the idea through the mind. I \t occurs so quickly we are seldom aware of what has transpired. We tend to think of the angels working in more dramatic ways rather than subtly offering us ideas that we then accept as our own.
I should point out that this does not minimize new creative thought which we, as humans, are capable of having. However, if you look closer, you will see that your angel provided you with experiences and learning that lead up to that creative thought process. Most of the time, though, we are being passively stimulated by thinking that reflects the lights of God, or thinking that only leads to darkness.
The reason for the confusion that causes us to withhold action to help another is oftentimes the result of influences on our thinking that come from the rebellious angels. One of their popular campaigns is the development of apathy or the belief that what the individual can do will have no effect on large problems. Thus people of good spirit become paralyzed or whirl around on the surface of problems rather than applying true spiritual wisdom.
The solution is to seek to receive heavenly wisdom through our angels. When we have this experience, what actually happens? What makes those ideas so perfect that are given to us by the angels. To understand the greater perspective on this subject, we need to explore the origin of wisdom.
Naturally, the source of all wisdom can only be God. A specific aspect of God oversees the development of human wisdom. It maintains the feminine impulses throughout Creation, functions as the holiest of the spiritual realms, and head of the nine hierarchies of angelic beings. As angel workers we have the responsibility to remember it is this aspect of God directing much of the wisdom on\f the Creator through the ranks of angelic beings to humanity. This does not mean to suggest that men are not also part of the process. Divine wisdom is available to everyone who is open to the feminine energy of God.
Also, we need to understand what is meant by Divine wisdom. It is the application of knowledge regarding the workings of the universe in such a way that the Divine Plan is revealed for the purpose of clear choice. Another way of explaining wisdom is that when it is applied, there is the ability to discern truth from illusion without prejudice or fear of any sort. Rather, the presence of God can be felt and the correctness of choice is experienced afterward as an exquisite happening. There is a quality of openness in the soul of the individual applying or revealing Divine wisdom that makes the decision devoid of any arrogance, condescension or judgment.
There are some conditions that the angels require of you to receive spiritual wisdom about any situation. Here are four which you might consider:
1. Manifestation. This means that in order to have any experience of Divine Wisdom, some form of manifestation is required, such as a human being to receive the wisdom.
2. Selflessness. Wisdom cannot be recognized or applied if negative thinking or negative feeling stands in the way of selflessness. To achieve selflessness one should have sufficient positive thoughts to enable one to maintain a balanced view of their existence in relationship to the creator and other members of humanity.
3. Openness. An essential requirement of an open mind and open consciousness is needed in order to release wisdom through the personality. This also means that one must release wisdom rather than be attached to it. To hold on to any experience of wisdom in a grasping way will eventually sour the wisdom, perhaps undermining its timing or application.
4. Consciousness. We need to be cognizant of our thoughts, our feelings, and our actions in order to experience wisdom and to apply it.
Let's assume you have provided this foundation. This still does not mean that you will experience wisdom if your relationship to the angels of God is obstructed. To safeguard this relationship, you can remember the following:
-- Be willing to act upon the wisdom obtained and translate it into your life. If you do this, your guardian angel will bring you a stronger connection with Divine Wisdom.
-- Don't expect the wisdom to come to you in a particular way. Sometimes we become dependent upon the past. For example we might have experienced a moment of enlightenment beside a certain tree or after saying a certain prayer or after doing some specific action. It is wonderful to be conscious of this, but such experiences should not become patterns for the future. It would limit your angel in seeking to provide you with wisdom, if you were only receptive in one place or at one time. Be open and you will be amazed.
-- Seek continuously to receive further wisdom that will override your personal limitations. The more you are able to see, the more the picture changes.
-- Don't be so attached to your experience of wisdom that you reach the point where you must defend it. Spiritual wisdom has the power for God within it, and therefore does not need defense. It stands on its own for recognition out of free will.
The spring season is a wonderful time to awaken new impulses of wisdom. As you begin to enjoy the outdoors and see new growth in nature, reflect on the spiritual growth you have fostered during the winter. As days of summer approach, we also begin to experience the intensity of life as it moves from within our consciousness toward the outer world. It is the time to reach toward other human beings stretching toward the light of God as do the plants as they awaken from winter's sleep.
In conclusion, I want to remind you that if you develop a decision-making process based on spiritual wisdom, incredible things will start to occur in your life. First and most important, you will feel the presence of God working through you. Second, you will see positive results from your actions. Finally, you will experience a lasting form of happiness that accompanies those decisions that will provide amazing strength for the future.
