Mojo mating with George atop the fridge


Iguana mating can be pretty violent. If the female iguana is not receptive, she could hurt the male, hurt herself, or drop her tail. If both parties are not willing to mate, do not FORCE them to, and separate them!

Successful mating will occur when the female is feeling receptive. The male will court her with bobbing displays, and will circle her on his toes. He will grasp her by the neck, and then attempt to mount her. It can happen anywhere... even on top of the refrigerator!

Keeping claws trimmed will keep scratching and cuts to a minium.
