The Velcro Fund: How YOU Can Help 5 Special Iguanas!Dear Iguana owners: One of the Iguana Mailing List's long standing members, Meriday Beth, has befallen extremely hard times -- her housing is in jeopardy, she will not have food for herself or her iguanas, and as a disabled person her income is already limited. Over the years she has helped many iguanas and their owners via personal calls, e-mail, the IML, IRC, RPH and other groups. This is your chance to give something back! The Velcro Fund is a small fund that will help provide Meriday Beth and her iguanas with their needs. Velcro, Majyk, Zaphod, Raisin, and Rudy need your help! If you would like to extend the holiday spirit and reach out to them, cash donations, offers of temporary adoptions for these iguanas or other acts of kindness would be extremely helpful! WHAT YOU CAN DO: Offers for Temporary Adoption for Velcro, Majyk, Zaphod, Rudy, or Raisin: If you live in California, you can offer to house one of these special iguanas until Meriday Beth is able to provide for them again. E-mail one of the contacts for more information. Donations of Any Kind Any donation you can send would be most appreciated! Cash, Check or Money Order are great! If you want to send something other than cash, Albertson's gift certificates for food for the iguanas would be your best choice. E-mail one of the contacts for more information. Update your websites! Link to the Iguana Information Hotline Page or include the following information at your iguana websites:
Iguana Information Hotline, presented by Velcro [picture] and her caring, knowledgeable iguana info providers. Call with your iguana problems and questions and receive quality, up-to-date advice! Calls are screened so talk to the machine for a moment until you are connected to a counselor. 100% of proceeds received earned go toward the The Velcro Fund! Interested in helping out? Contact one of these people for further assistance.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not e-mail Meriday directly, or snail mail her directly. She is under a lot of duress, and may not be able to cope with the volume of mail needing expedient answers.
