Pelopidas assamensis
Pelopidas assamensis This medium-sized Hesperiidae was recently discovered in Singapore in the Mandai area.  Subsequently, its caterpillar was also discovered, feeding on a host plant (Bamboo) within the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.  Observations of this species were mainly in forested areas.  The Skipper is larger than most of the other species bearing almost similar spots on the wings, and is therefore quite distinct when seen in the wild.
