Appias lyncida vasava (Chocolate Albatross)
The Chocolate AlbatrossThe Chocolate Albatross is a common butterfly in Malaysia, but over here in Singapore, is a seasonal visitor. It is rarely seen and was believed to be extinct here. However, single specimens do turn up once in a while in the nature reserves. These individuals are believed to have migrated from the north.

The males are white above with a dentate black border. The hindwing beneath is a rich lemon-yellow with a dark brown border. In Malaysia, the males may be found congregated at roadside seepages together with many Pieridae and Papilionidae species.
