John Carpenter obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology
from DePauw University,
Greencastle, Indiana, & a Masters degree in Social Work from
Washington
University, St. Louis,
Missouri, as well as Advanced Training in Clinical Hypnosis in order
to practice his profession as a
psychiatric therapist & hypnotherapist in Branson, Missouri. For
nearly 20 years he has counseled people in
Southwest Missouri for every kind of emotional problem imaginable.
His life-long curiosity in UFOs led to his
volunteering his services to over 120 cases of possible UFO abduction.
Using clever interviewing & thorough
hypnotic investigation, he has collected amazing patterns of data which
clearly depict a consistent
& coherent scenario of extraterrestrial contact.
He has presented his research findings at conferences from Australia
to England, on national radio &
television shows, & in both national & international film documentaries.
This list includes SIGHTINGS,
ENCOUNTERS, MONTEL WILLIAMS, STRANGE UNIVERSE, TINEKE & THE PARANORMAL,
& many regional broadcasts as well as National Public Radio
& Art Bell's DREAMLAND. He has been
interviewed for OMNI magazine, USA TODAY WEEKEND magazine, TIME, WOMEN's
WORLD,
Japan's BORDERLAND, Brazil's UFO, & England's UFO Magazine.
He presented six papers at the prestigious M.I.T.
Abduction Study Conference in Boston in 1992.
His published papers have brought him international recognition &
speaking invitations on five continents.
He has created & produced seven research videotapes since 1996.
Mr. Carpenter also serves as MUFON's Director of Abduction Research.
