In the seventies, through computer simulations, it was possible to prove that galactic structures (i.e. spiral arms, bridges of matter, etc.) result from the mutual gravitational attraction. This program is the Java version of that simulator.
Units: light year, sun mass, year. Radii: 50000ly and 30000ly. The mass is the same for both and is concentrated in the kernels.
Stop the execution with the "Start/Stop" button to change starting values. Click and drag to alter location and angle of the galaxies.
