With heavy hearts, Snugharbor sadly announces the passing of Captain to the Rainbow Bridge on October 13th, 2002. The joy of my life, the love of my heart, he is now gone.

"Rest easy my schmoozle dog, my hug dog, until we meet again."

Purchased as an 8-week old puppy from Folklaur Labradors, Captain was our only stud dog from 1990 to 2002.  Captain is responsible for many firsts here at Snugharbor, including our first Specialty show class placement, first Companion dog obedience title, and first Working Certificate.  Because of Captain's strong desire to work, we have become quite involved in competing with our dogs in obedience and, to a lesser extent, in the field. 

Captain left a large hole and a big legacy here at Snugharbor. We can only hope that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren can fill his very big pawprints.
