ArtGuys - This oddity is sort of a digital attempt at the style of local designer Art Chantry. None of Chantry's work is created with a computer, but rather collages and poster paints. He does a lot of posters for underground bands around Seattle, and has many of his posters on display at the School of Visual Concepts. I created this one using a few photos, a few text effects, and a great deal of PS4's filters- especially the Torn Edges filter. |

Robist - This image was created as my submission for the "If I Could Choose A Face" Self Portrait show for KPT List people. It was pretty fun to do.
Most of this image was done with Photoshop (which is why it's here) but there was also some Painter-ing involved. I think it kinda symbolizes the way my imagination is brightly-colored and in a million places at once. The ghostly image in the lower left corner was done using the "Find Edges" filter.

Hyperrealisation - I was playing with the same image of Mark I used in "Teknoboy". This was another experiment with layering effects, and a pile of new actions I downloaded, including a mediocrely-named "Splattered Paint". It came out looking more like drops of blood. Kinda scary, but I think this picture came out really cool looking. Especially the text.

Game Over - It's a caustic montage of Nintendo-laden memories from my early teens. The components of the image were collected by using an NES emulation program for my Mac, and the Apple screen grab. Everything was then glued together and mish-mashed into this alarming collection of stuff with Photoshop and Kai's Power Tools 3.

RobTrip - A pile of photos, type effects, and wacky layering effects. This was the imagemap for the front page of this site, until I had to fit in a new gallery. It's still a neat picture, so I shifted it into this gallery. Sort of an attempt at the kind of design you see on lots of movie-credits and rave flyers these days.

Anger - From an assignment in my Illustration Concepts class at SVC, the concept was The Seven Deadly Sins. I got a lot of feedback on this piece, and I feel it's probably my most powerful collage yet. More than a little unsettling, don't you think?

Pioneer Square - This is a collage I did with some photos I took in Downtown Seattle last month when it was cold n' gray.. ya know, like Washington! Inspired by an article I was reading in Step By Step magazine.
