Christofur was a wonderful cat who
never complained and was always happy and good natured.
Christofur was independent but affectionate in his own way.
He loved to rub up against you or lay down at your feet. He
was very sweet and playful too.
Christofur had been diagnosed with diabetes and had to live
on insulin. My husband faithfully tested his urine daily
and gave Chris his shots. Christofur never flinched either.
He even knew when it was time for his insulin and jumped on
the table waiting for my husband to give him his injection.
Chris was kept alive like this for about a year and a half.
We thought he was doing great. Then one day he just wasn't
feeling right. I asked my husband to take him to the vet. I
said goodbye to Chris and left for work. My husband took
him to the vet to be checked out. Chris waited until he was
out of his carrier and succumbed on the vet's table. He
knew it was his time but waited until he got to say goodbye
in his dignified manner. This happened last April, 1998. We
still always think about Chris and are very proud to have
been owned by him. We always will remember Chris and the
good times we had with him.
