His name is synonymous with international hockey. 9 World Championships, 3 Olympic Golds, 1981 Canada Cup winner and tournament MVP, Soviet League first team all-star 14 straight years, and veteren of the Summit Series. Tretiak did it all for the USSR, and almost single handedly gave Russian hockey the respect that it deserved.
