When God Sat Up The Altar |
When God sat up the altar,
It bore
the perfect sacrifice.
Such wealth placed on the altar,
It alone could
pay the price.
Its impact was astounding,
profound, and touches every
life.
The sacrifice on the altar,
Was brought through much
strife.
The altar stood upon a hill,
Up there for all to see,
Open
to public ridicule,
Received shame that was meant for me.
The
sacrifice on the altar
Was ransomed for the lost.
You see, the altar on
the hill,
Was my Jesus' cross.
