A Call To Repentance |
Built on the faith of Christ,
A
once very mighty nation,
Turned to their own devices,
Heading toward
utter destruction.
They say, "Peace and safety."
Destruction soon
ensues.
Ungodly men pursuing pleasures,
Following the paths they choose.
They'll soon be called upon,
To account for their ways;
Desirous
of their own affections,
Throughout all of their days.
Unrepentant
and blasphemous,
Agnostic, and secular too;
Exalting themselves above
all others,
And the God to Whom praise is due.
They once had a
heritage,
To which they turned their backs,
Rebelling against the
gospel,
The truth, target of their attacks.
Returning their people
to bondage.
Constituents who once claimed to be free.
These leaders are
guilty of treason,
With lives based on greed.
Covetous, boastful,
and arrogant:
Proud is this stiff-necked lot.
Led by the spirit of the
age,
Spiritually pure, these men are not.
The idolatry of this
nation:
Abominable in God's sight...
Has drawn near... the wrath of God:
A very dreadful plight.
Plead with the Lord of Hosts,
Repent of
your wicked ways.
Seek the Lord immediately,
These are truly... the last
days.
Seek God with all your heart,
The time is near at hand.
Oh, Christian, pray for your country,
That God would heal your land.
