The Cheerleader |
I am the cheerleader.
I'm here
to encourage you.
Get out there and witness,
You know what you are to
do.
These are the last days,
And time is getting short.
Tell others
of Jesus' love,
Give them the good report.
God is raising up a
church,
Draw the last members in.
Teach them of God's mercy and
grace,
Tell them to repent of sin.
They must seek the Lord,
While
He may be found,
Hurry, the time is near;
There shall soon be a trumpet
sound.
Tell them the Gospel story,
Tell them the good news,
To
trust in God's forgiveness,
To drive away their blues.
God's mercy and
grace is given,
As a result of unfeigned love;
Through the precious grace
of God,
His wondrous gift came from above.
Jesus is that holy
gift,
The sacrificial lamb.
Jesus is the Son of God,
He is truly, the
great I Am.
Jesus shed His precious blood,
So that we might forever
live.
No greater gift could ever be,
Nor could another
give.
Tempted in all ways as we are,
He yet remained without
sin.
He died for us at Calvary,
That His glory, we might enter
in.
He secured a place in God's family,
For those who would
believe,
And confess His Lordship to the world,
Their sins there to
relieve.
God's salvation plan is simple,
We're not justified by our
acts.
They are but as filthy rags,
Let's examine all the facts.
If
justification came by our deeds,
And we could be wholly pure,
Then Jesus
died needlessly on the cross,
But no-one would really be secure.
For
all men have fallen short,
God's glory is out of reach.
Salvation is a
gift of God,
That's the message that I preach.
Believe that God raised
Jesus,
On that blessed day.
Confess Him as your Lord and
Saviour,
That's what you have to say.
You cannot please God without
faith,
It comes from hearing God's Word.
It requires belief in their
hearts,
From our report that they've heard.
Yes, I am the
cheerleader,
I admonish you to stand,
Pray for salvation
everywhere,
God's grace throughout the land.
I admonish you to be
God's witness,
Of Him, you should testify.
Let His Holy Spirit lead
you,
The chosen lost to justify.
Unless they hear the gospel,
They
will never believe.
Preach the Word to them,
Lest Satan be allowed to
deceive.
They can be justified by faith,
Through what they have
learned.
It is only through God's gift;
Not by what anyone has
earned.
You too are a cheerleader,
I need your encouragement,
too.
Admonish all of your brethren,
To do what we must do.
Yes, you
too are a cheerleader,
And you're a witness, too.
Testify to the world of
Jesus,
That's what you are to do.
