Some call her Lady Liberty.
To me, she's just another idol.
Faith in God through Jesus Christ:
Is what is really vital.

Some would pledge to her allegiance.
I see that as an error.
In the end, God's reign shall stand,
But her reign shall end in terror.

If she were of any consequence,
She would not be so lax.
Her government oppresses her people,
With each new democratic tax.

God hates each and every idol.
False hopes is all that she can give.
Put your trust in Jesus Christ,
In His salvation, You shall live.

She has eyes, but cannot see.
She speaks only by man's devices.
All they that would trust in her...
May soon perceive their crisis.

Don't trust in your vain idols.
Trust the merits of Jesus' cross.
Don't settle for idol lordship;
Let Jesus be your boss.

Seek the comfort of His Holy Spirit,
And His Lordship over you.
You will not regret that choice.
His is a love that's true.

His power is resurrection power.
Never did a statue raise the dead.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life."
That is what Jesus has said.

Her liberty is only in symbolism,
Yet people hold her in high esteem.
The salt mist and smog has pitted her,
Showing her vulnerability, it would seem.

God shall judge this nation,
for it's trust in her,
As well as for its immorality,
Unless we repent of our error.

Repent, repent, the time is now.
Return to the God we can trust.
Follow the example of our forefathers,
Lest our stature continues to rust.

Believe that God raised Jesus.
His resurrection; hold dear in your heart.
Confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour,
He truly gives a brand new start.

Call on the Lord, that He may be found.
Though He's already with you.
Only He can redeem your soul.
Yes, His promises are true!
