You’re On Your Way To Making A New Webpage

When I started out just over three years ago I knew nothing about computers.  I sat and watched my husband making our first homepage and kids working on their homework and surfing the net.  From not wanting to even be on a computer or having anything to do with being online at all,  I have become obsessed with working on my own page(s) and also helping friends and family get their own homepages started.  So many of them have mentioned that it might be a good idea to let people know where I get my information from when I need help in continuing with my own work.  The links below are from my own bookmarks.  I hope these links can help you out in getting your own page started.

Once you’ve got your page all set and ready to be seen, then you need to submit it to search engines to get it seen.  If you go here http://www.addme.com/ you can submit your site.

Welcome to Add Me!, the most popular website promotion and submission engine on the planet. Add Me! is a free service that lets you submit your website to the 30 most popular search engines and directories on the web.

There are also web rings and Top site lists to join to get your page out there and seen.

The goal is to get people to come to your page.

You also need to make sure you have a proper Meta tag http://www.websitepromote.com/resources/meta/ just after your head at the start of your page.

This is a free resource which provides an automated form to receive Meta Tags for your web site. Why do you need Meta Tags? Easy. They can improve your web site's relevancy in Search Engine results. Most search engines include Meta Tags in their measurement of the relevancy of certain keywords as they relate to your website. Some read Meta Tags and post them with your listing. Other engines review the Tags along with other textual content of your website to measure overall relevancy. If you are planning to submit your site to any of the large search engines, Meta Tag implementation is essential!

Good luck on your new endeavor.  Happy homepage creating.

diploma

I recently signed up for some computer classes for Paint Shop Pro. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
I am so proud to have received my diploma.
Thank you to my wonderful teacher, who had such nice things to say about me.

Congratulations Heather, on a job well done.
You were also the first to graduate in both of my classes.
Good luck to you in your graphic making. *~HUGS~* Ginny
