No Matter What Reviews
Top Of The Pops (Reviewed by Zig and Zag!)
Zag: Eeugh! This is the kind of thing your parents would sing
karoke to. It's all a bit to girlie and slushy. Ronan's voice sounds great but
Stephen still sounds like a chipmunk! But I guess you can't go far wrong with
Boyzone so it'll probably do well.
Zig: Nice harmonies though, I'll give 'em that!
Big!
Sounds like: The boys have finally grown up for good. This is a
really mature sound from everyone's fave Irish boys. It's an Andrew Lloyd
Webber song, with Steve on lead vocals and it's very uplifting.
Predicted chart position: 3(!)
Live & Kicking (reviewed by Will Friedle from Boy Meets World)
Are these guys what you would call a boy band? You have a lot of boy
bands in Britain don't you? (Thirty seconds into song) No, this is not
my kind of tune - it's really slow and serious - how old are these guys? I
can't imagine driving to this, you'd have to go really slow if you were. This
could be a hit, so I'll sit on the fence with this one and say a
maybe!
Smash Hits
Stephen joins Ronan on lead vocals for this track from the musical Whistle
Down The Wind and a fine job they make of it too. No Matter What
has all the style and panache you'd expect from our most sucessful boy band -
it's just a shame the poptastic pair don't sing more of it together, 'cos that's
when the song really takes off. It's not on the Boyzone album either, so
there's even more reason for fans to snap it up!
