To My Friend

Every night I lie in bed
This little prayer inside my head
God bless my mom, and daddy,
and bless my little boy,
and take care of my husband
he brings me so much joy..
And God there's just one more thing
I wish that you would do
if you don't mind me asking
Could you bless my puter too??
Now, I know that its not normal
to bless a small machine
but listen just a second,
and I'll try to explain...
you see, that little metal box
holds more than odds, and ends.
inside those small components
rest a hundred loving friends.
Some its true I've never seen,
and most I've never met
we've never shaken hands or
ever truly hugged, and yet..
I know for sure they love me
by the kindness they give,
and this little scrap of metal
is how I get to where they live
by faith is how I know them
much the same as I know you.
I share in what life brings them
so if its ok with you..
just take an extra minute
from your duties up above..
to bless this little hunk of steel
thats filled with so much love.

I met you on a cloudy day
my heart.. a pit, my eyes.. in tears
I felt my soul had wandered away
there was nothing else to ever share...

You changed all that in your loving ways
the time you spend, the care you show
just one smile goes far these days
now my heart truely knows...
I hold you close and dear within
I hope you know how I feel
always..you'll be my Forever Friend
our friendship eternally sealed.

NEVER FAREWELL

They say it's time to say,
"Goodbye! Adieu!" And cast my anchor
for another shore; But I can never say
those words to you, At one remembered
glance I shun the door. For when at
last you've found a precious gem
Whose facets blush the darkness of your
soul, How can you ever lose that
spark again Allowing loneliness
to quench the glow? Bereft of
gentle eyes that lift me up And
all the tender counsel that you
give, How can I bear this ever
bitter cup An face a world insisting
that I live? So never will you hear,
"Farewell" from me; This heart for
you will ever open be.

when someone special enters your life

Well I know that feeling now that

When I need someone to talk to
you're always there with a smile
and a lot of understanding
When I need advice
you're always willing to give it
to the best of your ability
And when I am discouraged
you always have some words of
encouragement to offer
When my life is turned upside down
You always know what to say
to turn it right side up again
When I need a prayer
you're always there to show me the way
And when I have a problem
that is difficult to talk about
you make it so much easier
Having someone like you
that I know I can always trust
And is very comforting
Your friendship is a blessing
that has impacted my life
And the time in so many ways
that you have given me
is a gift that I will cherishs
as long as I live
