"Nee, Die-chan, sorry to make you stop, but we need some groceries," Kaoru stated as Die's car whizzed along the road, trees and buildings going by out the window.
    "Anything for you, sweetheart," Die replied, glancing quickly over at the purple-haired man. "Oi, I thought that they were going to make a bigger deal of us being together today."
    "So did I!" Kaoru agreed. "But I guess Totchi had better things to talk about, ne."
    Die got an awkward look on his face, replying, "Heh, yeah. Poor Shinya!"
    The purple-haired man grinned, looking out the window and pointing out a grocery store. Die steered his car to the parking lot, fighting his way for a spot near the front. When the car was stopped, he quickly lept out, running around to the other side to open the door for his lover. "After you," he said gentlemanly, holding his arm out.
    Kaoru smiled, stepping out of the vehicle. "Thank you, sir," he replied, playing along with Die's little game. Then winking, he added, "Don't expect to be tipped."
    Putting on an obviously fake pout, Die whined while walking towards the grocery store, "You're so mean, Kao-chan..."
    "I know, I'm just evil," the leader agreed, latching his arm onto Die's and striding close against his body.
    Once they were inside, Die declared quickly, "I'll be right back!" then scampered off before Kaoru even had time to respond.
    He's just like a little boy, Kaoru thought. I have to keep my eye on him all the time or he'll just run off. Laughing slightly to himself, the purple-haired man grabbed a shopping cart and headed off to buy his food. As he tried to make his way over to the produce section, the corner of his eye caught the cookie and snack aisle. Immediately, he was sucked over, staring at the shelves of cookies. There were oreos and chocolate chip and cinnamon and ginger, all sorts of kinds, all crying out to Kaoru to buy them. He spent a good ten minutes just trying to decide which kind of cookies to buy. Does Die like this kind? Well, these have less fat. But then again, these taste better. Hmm.... Oh, screw it all! Finally, Kaoru just grabbed three or four bags and quickly headed to the healthier choices of food.
    After a good half-an-hour, without seeing Die, Kaoru pushed his loaded cart up to the check-out, praying to whoever would listen that there wouldn't be a screaming fangirl up there. At first, it looked all good, but then as he stood there, waiting while the check-out girl scanned the food, he noticed with disgust how giggly she was and how she was blushing incredibly. Great, Kaoru thought, a new story to tell. Dir en grey leader eats like a pig. Sighing, he tried to avoid looking at her.
    Eventually everything was bagged and he looked around for Die. And there he was, standing by the door. One arm was behind his back and he was grinning madly. Kaoru smiled, walking over to him, watching the hopeless fangirl (we'll call her Rei ^^;;;) and a couple other of the grocery store staff carry his bags behind him.
    "Do you think you have enough food?" Die asked jokingly, eyeing the eleven or so bags.
    "So screw me, I'm an impulse buyer."
    "I think I would like to screw you," the red-haired man whispered, laughing. "No matter! I have one other purchase." With that, he drew out his arm, holding a large bouquet of lilacs. Their color was a beautiful lavendar shade and as Kaoru smiled broadly, bringing them up to his nose to smell them, the wonderful fragrance drifted about his face. "When I saw them, I thought of you," Die confessed. "You smell sweeter, though."
    "Thank you so much, lover!" Kaoru exclaimed, cradling the flowers carefully in the crook of his arm so that he could give Die a hug with the other one. He didn't care if the fangirls were watching, that was his Die and he was going to let the world know. He studied the flowers happily as he walked back out to Die's car, studying the perfect little flowers all bunched together. He thought it was cute how the red-haired man even remembered the scent of his hand lotion. The fangirls trooped along behind them, giggling with each other.
    When they reached his car, the lead fangirl asked humbly, "Are you together? I'm a yaoi fan! Kiss once, just for me, pleeeeeease?"
    Kaoru was about to protest at her insolence when Die exclaimed, "Sure!" Quickly, he had the purple-haired man in his arms, leaning him back and engulfing his lips in a strong, passionate kiss. As Die continued kissing Kaoru deeply, it left the fangirls utterly breathless, and they ran off, ready to tell their friends. Finally, the kiss was broken, both sets of lips seeming as though they longed to stay together more. Die's kisses made Kaoru dizzy and he gazed up at the taller man, smiling shyly. "How was that for getting rid of fangirls?" Die laughed, opening the car door for Kaoru.
    "I-impressive," the purple-haired man stuttered, dreamily sliding into the car. "You nearly crushed my lilacs, though. And me, for that matter."
    Die just grinned. "It's a talent," he said jokingly.

    When they arrived home, Kaoru immediately went about the task of putting away all the groceries he bought. He turned his head over his shoulder while reaching for the snacks he'd bought, asking Die, "What kind of cookies do you like?" It had been a pressing question on his mind.
    Grinning wryly, the red-haired man replied, "Kaoru Cookies."
    Kaoru just rolled his eyes and laughed, muttering, "Sorry I asked."
    "Or cream filled."
    "Okay, you can stop, I get the idea!" Kaoru exclaimed, grinning. Die just laughed at him, reading the directions on the instant ramen. The purple-haired man was hesitant to allow him to cook, knowing that Die could and probably would screw up instant noodles, but he?d insisted on it. Slowing his putting away to a stop, Kaoru said quietly, without facing Die, "You don't have to go, you know."
    The other guitarist looked up from the package, confused. "What?"
    "You don't have to go. I mean, ever."
    Die smiled, telling him, "I'm not going to leave you. Don't worry."
    Sighing, Kaoru turned around, stating bluntly, "I mean, this can be your apartment too, if you want. We can live together."
    Die was speechless. The invitation sounded so wonderful, like a dream come true! "H-honto?" he stuttered.
    "If you want to," the leader replied, smiling.
    The red-haired man lost all interest in the package and stood up, mouth still open in a happy shock. He walked over to Kaoru, embracing him tightly and showering his face in kisses. "I want to, sweetheart, I would love to! I love you!"
    "I love you too!" Kaoru managed to gasp out between kisses. When the fury of lips subsided, the purpled-haired man just wrapped Die in his arms, holding their bodies close together. Their heat mixed, their breath mingled, it seemed as though even their souls had joined in some way or another.
    "I promise I'll always make you happy and never ever make you cry," Die whispered, tucking his chin over Kaoru's head.
    Kaoru made no vocal answer but snuggled closer against Die's neck, arms wrapping tighter around his back. "After dinner, should we get some of your stuff?" he asked finally, pulling away enough to look up at his red-haired lover.
    A large smile crossed Die's handsome face and he nodded. "That'll be great!" With one last lingering kiss, he went back to the dinner of instant ramen he was making.
    Kaoru felt so happy knowing that he and Die were to live together, to share everything. Now he didn't have to worry about missing the man at night, wishing he were there with him because he would be, he would be with him! It had all happened so suddenly between him and Die, but so perfectly. It seemed to be divine consequences bringing them together, fate itself.
    As Kaoru continued to think his deep thoughts while putting away the rest of the groceries, he heard Die curse slightly under his breath. Not a good sign, Kaoru thought.
    "A-ano, Kao-chan?"
    "? yes?"
    "I added too much water. ^^;;"
