The first three items are required for every student in the class

Give a presentation according to the schedule.

Submit the Internet project before Class 11 (you will receive an explanation of the project in class)

Submit the homework from the textbook each week.

The Spring 2005 class should ignore the rest of this document

In addition, each student must select any TWO of the following items

These items must be submitted on disk or diskette by Class 13

• Make an invitation to a bris, bar mitzvah, or wedding
• Make a graph showing a company's annual profits and losses
• Describe and explain the function of any 10 items in the Control Panel. Do not experiment with the Control Panel on college computers. Your answers for this item should include some of the following information:
  • What the Control Panel feature can do
  • How it does its job
  • When you can use the feature
  • How to use the feature
  • How the feature is different in Windows XP and in any previous version of Windows
  • Warnings and precautions about the feature
• Teach the class how to use Excel (15 minute lesson). Prepare a page explaining the Excel functions; submit it a week in advance so that the college can photocopy it.
• Submit a written recommendation for a different project with Excel or Word before Lesson 6. After that lesson you must select one of these options.
