Are you reading this document at the beginning of the school year? If so, please don't expect to understand all of these terms and concepts yet. That's why we have our class sessions.
Your grade at the end of the school year will be based upon various factors, including the assignments submitted by the end of the school year. The major project must be submitted no later than four weeks before the end of the year, according to a schedule that we will discuss in class.
Your grade will be based upon the assignments submitted by the fourth (4th) class before the end of the school year. You should select and submit 80 points of projects from the list below. If you have not submitted enough projects or assignments by the deadline, then you will receive a grade based upon the number of points that you submitted. The other 20 points reflects your classwork and participation.
Your grade will be based on these assignments and on your classwork and participation.
Assignments with dates may not be submitted past the due date.
Some documents will be submitted on paper (that means they will be typed on a computer, of course). Documents that are submitted on paper must include a completed copy of the Translation Class Submission Form. Click here for the Translation Class Submission Form.

You will be asked to submit material either by our group e-mail or by regular e-mail directly to the teacher.

Dictionary preferences and reasons (0.5)
Thinking translationly: Hebrew/English differences. Purpose: To help you think rapidly and automatically in both languages simultaneously. (0.5 points per item; limited to 20 points)
Analyze a significant thread with a large number of postings in Hebrew Translating. Tell how you would use the term in different contexts (4). You may do up to FOUR different threads, for a total of 16 points.
Show the teacher which document(s) you will translate for your major project (see the end of Semester 2)

Hit reply and comment on an article translated by a classmate within 1 week of submission (1). You may submit up to 10 comments and receive up to 10 points
