You know how sometimes you are really, really looking forward to something, and then suddenly you want to put it off as long as possible? That's how I'm feeling about college right now. Suddenly, a whole new horizon has opened up, and I want so badly to experience it, but it would be unfair to start a relationship with someone right now, I'd have to leave them at the end of the summer. Perhaps, though, they'll be okay with just going out a few times, hanging out, nothing serious. Who knows, time will tell.

:: whimpers :: I actually got a few emails about not updating. Apparently that makes my friends angry, the ones who live ways away and I don't talk to on the phone. And I thought that Manderz got angry about my blog :-P Newayz, just got back from a TEC retreat. I'm not a retreat person, I don't really like sharing my feelings (imagine that, Jules, not touchy-feely?) But I did have fun, met a lot of great people.

Just something EXTREMELY RANDOM (ya know I love random stuff). I happened to be browsing through Lizz' profile on AIM, and I came upon the list we made for the YEA conference last October (it seems like years ago, it's so wierd.) No one will understand any of this, but I'm gunna post it anyway, because it is an awesome memory!

YEA Buddies Shout-Out
Whoa, you guys are the epitomy of funkiness. I miss ya'll so much, it's not even funny. We have to meet up sometimes. yes, New Mexico, even you. Okay, so this is more of a funny moments page than anything else, but that works too, right? So here we go with the random stuff we do:

~ They're just starting to domesticate Tigers now. (New mexico, we luv u)
~ Jules's Random Quiet Moment ~ one word: Harvard (you all know of whom I speak. . . )
~ remember: no gathering in rooms with a bed. (Oh no! I'm touching Conor's knee! I might get pregnant!)
~ Elevator party (pizza, anyone?)
~ Jules laughing for like half an hour late at night
~ The robot at the museum after my slasher soliloquoy
~ ALMOST getting an interview with Matchbox 20
~ Brutally critiquing Bernadette's newspaper-and she hardly even cared! That prank was so pointless.
~ Lai-yan is alone with matchbox 20! (that prank DEFINITELY worked out)
~ Open door parties, excpet the door was closed. . .
~ Ryna and his gelato (never did get that. . .)
~ Ryan talking is amazing, what words my friend, what words.
~ Jules didn't decide to tell us her nickname until the last day! Smooooth there.
~ My Audrey Hepburn costume (totally random but I still luv your glasses, Ali)
~ Making fun of country music (I still feel really bad about that btw)
~ Lai-yan, Fei-fei, and the whole taxi/plane incident
~ open bar and all the editors getting wasted (except mine)
~ Missing the lazer show (aaaww, too bad!)
~ squeezing way too many people at those little tables

~ riding in our Limo bus, and watching the Marlins game

I will be out of town until Friday, going on a family camping trip to Virginia, then I work all day Saturday, but I should be on that night to update, depending on how tired I am. Still looking for some great Pansy layouts, so all you D/P shippers out there, let me know if you find any!

Sometimes it seems like life isn't fair. There are just some things that happen that should not. Something awful happened last Sunday night, something that should not have happened.

Dustin Fortin was a truely great guy. I only met him a few months ago, but he's someone that you've known about. Dustin is really a legend in 4-H, he's in every Banner, always there to help. But at 11:30 pm, on Sunday the 17th of June, Dustin was driving his pickup truck a bit too fast, and it rolled off the side of the road. As he was not wearing a seatbelt, the truck pi8nned him and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

I have never met a nicer guy than Dustin, even though I wasn't really close to him. He was sweet and genuine, always willing to help and great with kids and those insecure with themselves. He was always open and non-judgmental. It sucks to think that, with all the jerks and morons in this world, such a great guy had to be taken from us. It always makes me want to tell each and every one of you to please, live life to the fullest. It's too short to sit around moping. Dustin left behind many, many people who loved him. This should throw it into perspective: Kate and I had to wait in line for almost an hour and a half just to get to the casket and give our condolences to his parents. Please pray for the family, everyone, and always wear a seatbelt.

Doesn't it completely suck when you really like someone, but all the odds are against you? Like right now, I really like this guy. But A) he's seeing someone, B) I'm going off to college and he's not, and C) I NEVER get the guy. Oh, I really hope that things change quickly, I don't get to see him more often than once or twice a week, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey guys, sorry for not updating and making the pages for my site. I actually have a whole new layout, with ALL the pages completed on my own computer, I just haven't gotten a chance to upload it. Soon, I promise. I'm actually still waiting ony my Pansy and Ginny one, hopefully it won't be too long!

First day using my new page. I love the Ginny layout, unfortunetly I was not creative enough today to make my own. I will soon have a new layout, using Ginny and Pansy, possibley Hermione as well. But for now, I'm content with my favorite witch. Anyhow, working on the pages and what not, I'm not at home so I cannot post my writings yet.

On another note, work has been going great, I worked two eight hour shifts last week, Friday and Saturday. Friday was the Cruise-In, and there was a notice up that I never saw that said we could discard our uniforms during the Cruise-In, but I only had a shirt with me, so I looked dumb :) I was only there for an hour during the Cruise-In and I worked counter, it was really busy.

The Countdown To College is at 68 days. Hurry up!!!
