This page will be dedicated to a very special friend in my life
named Andrew. He and I met by e-mail one day
and within days we seemed to develop a close bond as if we'd
known each other for years. And it's strange to think that even
though I've been friends with some people for many years, I've never
even come close to sharing anything as intense as what I share with
Andrew.

For starters, I must tell you that Andrew is a FANTASTIC!
poet, writer, songwriter, friend and person in general. He puts his
heart and soul into everything he does in life and it's a genuine
pleasure to know him and have him in my own life. I believe that the
gift of his life should be known and celebrated by all which is why I'm
making this page for him, to show the world just how great he is and
to share with you all some of the incredible work he does! And
besides, when he's famous someday, I'll be able to say that I
helped launch his career and "discovered" him first! haha!! (right Andy?!)

Here, you'll be able to read some of his poetry and writing as well
as see some of his photos and other work. Drop me a line to let
me know what you think of Andy's work or just to comment
on Andy in general

Andrew currently lives in New Zealand and is studying at University
and someday hopes to teach Sociology full-time somewhere where
he can settle down with a loving wife who will appreciate just how
special he truly is and also have a few kids to share some of the
unconditional love he is bursting at the seams with! :) Many a girl
will go weak at the knees upon hearing his sweet poetry here and in
the book he hopes to someday publish so I'm giving you a sneak
preview right here right now. But, don't you all get
your hopes up now on being the one who holds the key to
Andy's heart because last I heard, this honour belonged
to someone equally as special....
But, regardless, I hope you will Enjoy this tribute!
Before I do proceed with the poetry though, I must
send out a very

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY

since he is celebrating his birthday!!

This poem was written jointly between Andy and I and is MUCH longer than the few verses you see here but I thought I'd throw part of this poem in since it was the basis of one of our initial e-mails to each other and helped develop the strong foundation that our friendship is based on. It is our first poem we've written together and it's pretty special to me. I hope to be able to share in many more poems with Andy and be able to showcase what a truly remarkable man he really is.

JOURNEY
written Dec. '98 ~ Jan. '99 Join me for a drink, at the lonely poets cafe.
Share a thought, but make it deep, and we'll liberate the day.
Free yourself, as poets do, of burdens, fears, desires.
Join us as we gather round, our lost romantic fires.
Don't be shy, you have the gift, don't keep it to yourself.
Pen a verse and read it out,... for such is a poets true wealth...
O.k., I will enlighten you, With words of wit and glory
Sit down, relax and stay awhile, And listen to my story.
My words may not be fancy, Or chosen with much thought
But once revealed their point is clear, I'm sure they say a lot.
Tell me, friend, what do you say, To someone who's just learning?
Won't you help my poor, lost soul, Find the comfort it's been yearning.
What I say is what I must, How could I turn away
Your words so light, your thoughts so deep, My own needs bid me stay.
So let us now embark upon, A journey of discovery
Our thoughts a breeze, our words a sail, Our inhibitions all set free.
Be still and turn this way a time, Do you feel the wind upon your side?
Pack now your treasured memories, Our ship leaves on the morning tide.

THE SOUND OF SILENCE
At night my heart beats silent
afraid to disturb what is not there.
Thoughts of the day cloud over, grow distant
...the sound of silence is everywhere

So with myself I share a thought,
a game I sometimes play
A moment in time that I have caught
but even the moments cannot stay
...and the stairs lead downwards

Even memories seem without the rosy glow
they once possessed.
Not allways exact
often unkind
often unconcerned
No, perhaps that is untrue
More likely afraid to face the fact,
I am here with myself,
Instead of you

and you are a reality,
so far removed
That you do not even have a form
Yet the hope you exist is allways there
like the uncertain calm before the storm........

This next one has to be my favourite! (there go the knees again!!)

THE KISS OF MY LOVE
evening air is still at my feet,
nothing stirs without...
yet within me comes a gentle breeze
before a gentle shout...
time moves on...

I wonder of your heart tonight
this new sun in my life that
without a form physical, has
captured my love...a weary thing.
such a sweet surrender as no dream foreseen

from abstract to impression, or
impression into us...a word to
still my own heart,
sleep will not be mine nor true
rest till I know your touch, not
fantasy but goal.

thoughts of fancy, gentle desires,
nay...tis the voice of reality's fires
that cause myself to speak your name
I long to hear your song again in ways
I know are for us...
For who could see the tear in your heart,
each night as we must part but I, yet only
because I also cry,at need I must to
keep this mortal form from breaking,
to ease the weight of this heart aching
oh so sweetly,
for the kiss of my love...

Watch for more to come soon as this page is under
construction and only just beginning!

Hope you've enjoyed it all!!
