Like ILLWILL, GUTRIX is a very young metal band and some of their musicians (Hank and Bjarne) come from MERCYFUL FATE (KING DIAMOND for IllWILL). The difference lies in the fact that GUTRIX strongly wants to play '70s-'80's metal like Judas Priest, Black Sab., (and MF! : listen to the violent "Hell to pay"). That's the reason, for instance, why we can find on their first CD "Mushroom Songs" a cover of Judas' song "Exciter". Hank's virtuosity makes that their "classical" metal is very interesting and exciting. The only fault of this formation is Plougman's voice which sometimes becomes  boring 'cause it's too "old-hard-fashion". We also have  to note the very great "psyche" song "Bolivian Mountains" where the drums-bass duo is so weird... A must.
